On Church Fields

on-church-fields

Up on Church Fields I’ve been listening to the river, watching the sun sink all the way down, warm blows the breeze through the trees on the rise as the murmur of voices slowly fades away.

By Mark Wrangham

Church fields is a place in Rochester next to the castle near the cathederal overlooking the river Medway, the painting is about the ghosts of memories that come to life when revisiting a place that has especially strong significance in your life.
